Fairy Queen: World's oldest operational steam engine

To step aboard The Fairy Queen is to step into a different world. Travel to Rajasthan and take a trip on one of the superb vintage trains in the world. Fairy Queen offers you the opportunity to recapture the elegance and romance of a by-gone era. This heritage train made its maiden journey way back in 1855, passing through some of the world's most picturesque landscape.

Fairy Queen offers a single A/C passenger coach, carrying a maximum of 50 passengers who have plenty of space, time and encouragement to do as they please. Fairy Queen links Delhi, the capital of India, to picturesque town of Alwar, from where you are taken to the Sariska Tiger Reserve for an overnight stay.

Fairy Queen runs every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, from October to February. This wonderful vintage train exists today because of the initiatives of Indian Railways who should be appreciated for their work in the perseverance and maintenance of this rolling luxury hotel.
