Taj Mahal Ranks Third on TripAdvisor list

Leading travel website TripAdvisor has revealed that 17th century monument Taj Mahal has ranked in the top five landmarks in the world in the first-ever Travellers' Choice Attractions awards by the leading travel website.

While Michu Picchu in Peru was the top-ranked global landmark, Angkor Wat in Cambodia was second and Taj Mahal was third.

The list has been prepared based on the millions of reviews and opinions from travelers across the world.

TripAdvisor has developed a list of more than 1,250 of the world’s most highly-rated landmarks, parks, museums and theme parks.

Petra World Heritage Site in Jordan and Bayon Temple in Cambodia are ranked fourth and fifth respectively.
